Tireless Beth
Rick hasn't been himself lately. His stress levels are through the roof with and his life revolves around worrying 24/7 about the group's safety. After successfully rescuing Maggie and Glenn from the Governor, he returns home to an ecstatic Beth, who runs over and kisses him lovingly on the cheek. Taken aback by this, that simple gesture finally leads him to recognize Beth for what she really is: the glue of their group. Beth has been nothing but caring from the get-go, and a constant source of optimism. She's definitely become the group's emotional clutch, not to mention the non-official nurse in the prison. She literally nourishes people both psychologically and physically every single day. Rick is astonished by how much he's neglected Beth so far, at times even thinking of her as 'weak', and these thoughts lead him to distance himself even more from the group.
