Would you rather, eventually

Before Daniel could let go of the die, he felt the sudden compulsion to pick up his previous card. His eyes went wide as he read it, "38%- The GM - The GM doesn't create just one character, it his job to flesh out all the NPCs and monsters the players encounter. Daniel will receive a deck of cards that he cannot lose and must flip one at a time. Whenever Daniel flips a card it will reveal a character, and he'll transform into that character for 4 hours. He must flip at least one card per day and subsequent flips after the first double the duration of the transformation. Finally he cannot sleep while transformed, so no saving it for bedtime!"

"Wow!" Mateo was the first one to react.

"That's...that's crazy..." Was all Brittany could muster.

Daniel looked down and realized there was a deck of cards in his hand, "Well...I guess...I guess I have to draw now..."

"What? Why now?" Noah asked.

"I can't sleep while transformed. And I have to do it daily. If I wait, I'm just going to be up all night as....something else..."

"Makes sense. Well...go ahead then." Noah agreed.

Daniel sighed and set the die down without rolling. Then he grabbed the top card of the deck and flipped it over, "It says...wait? Lady Nightbringer?"

In a flash Daniel was gone, replaced not by Florence as she was now, but the complete character she had envisioned. Lady Nightbrighter, the dark elf priestess.

"WOW!" Florence couldn't help but exclaim at the sight. It was exactly how she'd envisioned her character. How she might look eventually, given how this game was going. Well, not quite. She didn't imagine the game would let her chest get any smaller.

Daniel held up a hand, "This is really weird..."

"Not to skip over your existential crisis, but you might want to roll before the game decides you're not playing." Mateo suggested.

"Right..." Daniel rolled the dice and landed on the question card, "It says Would you rather frequently be catcalled on the street with no repercussions for the catcallers or forced to catcall at any man you find physically repellant. Wait, man? No...I'll take getting catcalled."

"Ok, my turn," Florence went straight for the card, knowing it was time for that, "It says 40% Breast Envy - Florence is always going to be the biggest in the room, but her tits are going to be disappointed if she gets to keep her conservative style. To remedy this, her clothes will always shift to that she is wearing the most revealing outfit within 500m. This will only apply to women nearby that are in public, so she won't find herself suddenly naked when walking past homes with nude women inside."

Everyone turned to look at her, but nothing happened. She blinked and looked down at herself, "Am I really..." She looked up at the others, "I guess so..." Brittany was wearing a dress that didn't show off her cleavage and Evelyn wore leggings and a t-shirt so Florence's overflowing tank top really did mean she had the most skin on display. Although she wasn't sure if this counted as in public or not, but thankfully at this time of night there wouldn't be many people out and about outside.

Florence took a deep breath and then rolled, "It's a rule. It says People who have never broken a bone or unemployed people...d-does being a grad student count as unemployed?"

"I'd say so." Mateo said.

"No, when they say unemployment rate stats they don't count students." Evelyn countered.

Florence gulped. She hated making these big decisions. "P-people who have never broken a bone...may not drink alcohol."

"What seriously? I have to go break my arm to get a drink?" Brittany asked, alarmed, "I..."

Daniel took a breath, "These rules are just so strange. I wonder how people outside the game rationalize it."

Noah sighed, "I don't think they do. It just...is."

Noah picked up the die and tossed it. It landed on BOB so he picked up the card, rolled his eyes, and ed the die to Brittany.

Brittany rolled and picked up her card, "It says Fabric Type. Uh...like cotton? Oh no! It says you are now allergic to cotton. But everything is cotton!"

She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, or if she really was starting to get itchy. What she was most worried about was her cotton panties, but her dress was cotton too. She hadn't brought her suitcase with her, she'd left it at the hotel. Maybe she should just take off the panties? She didn't really want to get a rash down there of all places.

Except that would mean getting up to go remove them, and then everyone would know. She decided to try toughing it out.

Mateo grabbed the die and rolled it, "Crap. BOB for me too."

"Alright, here I go." Evelyn grabbed the die and rolled...
